Сенатор от республиканской партии, Lisa Murkowski, очень высоко оценила выступление бывшего министра обороны Маттиса:

So far so good.

Естественно, ее спросили о том, поддержит ли она Трампа на предстоящих выборах. Ее ответ:

I am struggling with it. I have struggled with it for a long time.

Это два высказывания вместе... Вот то же самое, но более кратко:

"I believe Person X makes a mockery of the constitution, intentionally divides America and politicizes the military."

"Will you vote for person X?"

"Maybe."

С одной стороны, Murkowski deserves a lot of credit. С другой стороны, в данный момент шансы Трампа на переизбрание выглядят... плохо они выглядят. Многие, наверное, помнят, как политики-республиканцы отказывались от поддержки Трампа после "grab them by the pussy". И все помнят последующее поведение этих политиков.

Трамп, впрочем, обиделся:
